A.J. Brown was quite the star of the show in his first offseason workout with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Brown took part in the Eaglesā€™ voluntary offseason workout on Thursday, where he provided a glimpse of what will be to come in the 2022 season.

Brown joined the Eagles last week on Day 1 of the 2022 NFL Draft. After going back-and-forth in contract extension talks with the versatile wideout, the Tennessee Titans threw in the towel on this matter and traded him to the Eagles for a pair of picks, including a first-rounder in this yearā€™s draft.

Brown is not joining the Eagles being a complete stranger in the locker room, especially as he will now catch passes from his childhood friend in Jalen Hurts. For one, the one-time Pro Bowler noted during his introductory press conference earlier this week that Hurts once made a push to recruit him to the Alabama Crimson Tide, but he opted to join Ole Miss instead.

The new Eagles wideout is coming off of a 2021 campaign where he posted career lows across the board, including in both receiving yards per reception (13.8) and receiving touchdowns (five). Now in Philadelphia, high expectations are already set on him to emerge as a WR1 with the team and also to help rejuvenate the pass offense.

For now, Brown sure is looking ahead to the Eaglesā€™ first voluntary OTAs of the offseason, which will come on May 31.
