Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Alshon Jeffery is officially off the injury report and will play on Thursday night against the Green Bay Packers, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media.

Eagles coach Doug Pederson reiterated that telling the media on Wednesday that Jeffery would be active and play a significant role against the Packers.

“I expect him to play,” coach Doug Pederson said via Pro Football Talk. “Obviously, with the limited full-speed practice reps this week, he took part in everything this week. He feels good, so I would expect him to go.”

Scoring wise the Eagles have put up points this year, but with all the injuries they haven't moved the ball as they have in the past, and Pederson thinks that will change with Jeffery back on the field.

“It just gives our offense a lift from the standpoint [that] he’s a veteran player, a guy that Carson [Wentz] knows, understands, and he’s a good player,” Pederson said. “It can help. It’s good to start to get our guys kind of back a little bit. A guy like Alshon is going to obviously draw some attention, especially with these two corners that they have [in Green Bay].

The Packers defense has looked good so far this year, so the Eagles are going to need all hands on deck to try and move the ball. The Eagles don't want to make this game a shootout, but with Jeffery and the other guys back, they are better equipped to keep up if that's what the game turns into.
