The Philadelphia Eagles wasted no time in congratulating Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid on his win in Super Bowl 54. He has since made sure to reciprocate the love.

Reid's will forever be linked to the Eagles franchise for his efforts during his tenure in Philadelphia. He complimented his former home after beating the San Francisco 49ers for his first ring, via Reuben Frank of NBC Sports:

“The people in Philly are tremendous. It's a great city. I loved coaching there.”

Reid enjoyed plenty of success during his stint in Philadelphia. Although he helped establish them as a fixture in the NFC East Division, they came up short every time they fell into playoff contention after losing four times in the NFC Championship and one time in the Super Bowl.

The annual disappointing end to the playoffs ultimately led to Reid's departure as the Eagles attempted to usher in a new era with head coach Chip Kelly. While the Kelly experiment did not pan out, head coach Doug Pederson managed to get Philadelphia over the hump in his first season as head coach.

Meanwhile, Andy Reid was still trying to figure out ho to get the job done in Kansas City after facing a similar problem of getting knocked out of the playoffs. Fortunately, the emergence of quarterback Patrick Mahomes has helped him kickstart a potential dynasty with the Chiefs.

Not only has he finally managed to win a Super Bowl as a head coach, but Andy Reid is poised to enjoy sustained success for years to come.
