Brandon Brooks and the Philadelphia Eagles came into today's game against the New Orleans Saints as major underdogs. Everything changed when the Eagles went up 14-0 on the Saints early in the game, but New Orleans is continuing to fight back and there is still plenty of game left to be played.

Unfortunately for the Eagles, Brooks suffered a serious leg injury in the first half. According to a report from Ian Rapoport of NFL.com, Brooks will likely miss the remainder of the season due to the injury even if the Eagles do advance past this game.

Brooks has been one of the main keys for the Eagles' offense this season. If the injury is as serious as it looks right now, this is going to be a tough blow for Philadelphia to overcome.

Philadelphia made an impressive run into the postseason and were able to upset the Chicago Bears last week. They have overcome a lot of obstacles to get to this point. Even without Brooks, the Eagles are not going to give up and will instead be motivated to win for their fallen teammate.

Nick Foles and company have a tough task ahead to beat Drew Brees and the Saints. New Orleans has one of the most high-powered offenses that the NFL has seen in a long time and they have a defense capable of making plays as well.

All of that being said, Brooks is done for the game and we can only hope and say a prayer that he will be able to bounce back fully and recovery quickly.
