The Philadelphia Eagles showed their commitment to defensive lineman Brandon Graham this NFL offseason, giving him a three-year, $40 million contract.

But whether or not he deserves that deal is a legitimate question.

Graham is coming off of a 2018 campaign in which he played all 16 games and registered 39 tackles, four sacks, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery, rather underwhelming numbers for a guy set to earn over $13 million annually.

Still, Graham, who has spent his entire nine-year career with the Eagles, feels he can bring a lot to the table.

“This year, it’s a double-digit (sack) year,” Graham said, according to Mike Kaye of NJ Advance Media. “That’s my goal. Go ahead and let them know I’ve still got a lot in the tank. My goal is to finish out this contract and be a three-time Pro Bowler.”

So, basically, Graham is hoping to do some things he has never done before.

Since entering the NFL in 2010, the 31-year-old has never recorded a double-digit sack season, topping out at 9.5 in 2017. He has also never made a Pro Bowl, so expecting to make three straight Pro Bowl appearances at this stage is probably a bit unrealistic.

The Detroit native, who played his collegiate football at the University of Michigan, was originally selected by Philadelphia in the first round (13th pick overall) of the 2010 NFL Draft.

Since the 2012 campaign, he has not missed a game.

The Eagles won nine games and lost to the New Orleans Saints in the Divisional Round of the playoffs this past season.
