The Philadelphia Eagles are coming off their first Super Bowl win in franchise history, but the focus has quickly shifted to some major decisions this upcoming NFL offseason. One of which will be the contract situation with defensive end Brandon Graham, who is set to enter the final year of his four-year, $26 million deal that will pay him $8 million in base salary and bonuses.

According to Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia, Graham is hoping that he can work out another lucrative deal with the Eagles. The veteran defensive end had yet another productive season with the team and aims to continue his career in Philadelphia as he seems to have no desire to play anywhere else.

“For me, it’s all about getting as much as you can while you can play because when it’s over, it’s over,” he said. “I know Howie [Roseman] and those guys, if they want me here, they’re going to make sure that they get me here. For me, I want to be here. Everybody knows I want to be here. They see the passion I have and I’m happy to be able to bring the trophy back to Philly.

“Now, it’s just all about just making sense, just getting me protected for the future. Because obviously I want to retire here and I know I’m going to retire here because I’ve been here a long time. I would love to retire here. It’s all on what they want to do. I’m just going to embrace it, whatever it is.”

Graham has spent the first eight years of his career in Philadelphia where he has been one of the consistent players on the defensive side of the ball compiling 38.5 sacks over that span. He also had his most productive campaign in 2017 with a career-high 9.5 sacks along with a pair of forced fumbles. Graham forced one of the biggest plays in the Super Bowl by stripping Tom Brady of the ball late in the fourth quarter that further turned the tide him Eagles' factor to seal the win.

The 29-year-old is merely hoping to get a new deal like several of his teammates on the defensive line such as Fletcher Cox, Vinny Curry, and Tim Jernigan. Graham's presence has helped give the Eagles a formidable pass rush that could be the foundation defensively for the next several years.

It may just be a matter of time before a new extension is worked out with Graham over the offseason.
