Nick Foles has replaced Carson Wentz as the starting quarterback of the Philadelphia Eagles each of the last two seasons and Wentz admits that puts a little extra pressure on him.

Wentz dealt with a back injury this season that cut his year short, but he should be healthy for the start of next season. Doug Pederson has said time and time again that Wentz is the starting quarterback of this team going forward.

“It could [add pressure]. Without a doubt,” Wentz said, via Pro Football Talk. “You look at that and you could say it could put more pressure. I mean, you can say coming into the season there was more pressure. But I do everything I can to block that stuff out. I think right now, going forward, my focus is getting my body right. And to play this game freely the way I did last year before the injury and cut it loose. Get rid of all that pressure and anxiety and whatever it may be, just play the game freely. And that’s where I’m going to get to.”

Wentz wouldn't go into the specifics about if Foles would be back with the team next year, but he did say that isn't something he tries to think about and only worries about the things that he can control, like getting himself back into shape and his back healthy.

Although Wentz doesn't want to discuss Foles future, there is no doubt that will be the talk of Philadelphia until a final decision is made.
