There are plenty of worried people in Philadelphia right now, as it is being reported by Tim McManus of ESPN that Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz has left the game against the Los Angeles Rams late in the third quarter with an apparent left knee injury.

The severity of the injury has yet to be determined, but according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Eagles fear that Wentz suffered an ACL injury.

Prior to his exit, Wentz was doing a solid job under center, as he racked up 291 passing yards with four touchdown passes and an interception on 23-of-41 completions. In his stead, the Eagles called the number of backup quarterback Nick Foles to run the show on offense for the rest of the contest.

Wentz sustained the injury after enduring a number of hits during a rushing play. He was able to pass for another touchdown to Alshon Jeffery after that before trainers took him in the sideline tent for initial evaluations. Wentz was then escorted to the dugout.

Wentz has been the biggest reason for the Eagles’ success this season. A favorite to win the MVP award, Wentz currently leads the NFL with 33 passing touchdowns to go with 3,296 passing yards.

Despite Wentz's injury, the Eagles managed to get a 43-35 win over Los Angeles, improving their record to 11-2.

The Eagles next face the New York Giants on the road in Week 15.
