Carson Wentz was in for a rude awakening when he was sacked eight times in the Philadelphia Eagles' disheartening loss to the Washington Football Team in Week 1. Ahead of Philadelphia's Week 2 matchup with the Los Angeles Rams, Wentz spoke out on the trials of having to face Aaron Donald.

“Aaron Donald, he’s a monster,” said the Eagles QB. “Everyone knows it. Everyone around the league knows the type of player he is and how he can really disrupt an offensive game plan. And so for us, we’re aware of that. Somebody we’ve got to always know where he is, but at the same time, we’ve got to execute, not play afraid, not play timid. . . . He is a game wrecker.”

Due to injuries along the offensive line, Washington's pass rushers had a field day against the Eagles in Week 1. Washington would finish the game with eight sacks as a team and two forced fumbles.

While the Eagles are expected to get Lane Johnson back against the Rams, slowing down Donald is far from an easy task. The two-time Defensive Player of the Year is one of the few defensive players that can change the outlook of a game by himself.

Since coming into the NFL in 2014, Donald has tallied 73 sacks and 15 forced fumbles as an interior defender. Every single week, Donald is the primary focus for offensive coordinators, commanding double teams on nearly every play.

Having to face Donald with an injury-riddled offensive line seems like it could lend similar results as Week 1. Nevertheless, Wentz understands how dominant Donald is, but realizes the Eagles need to execute, regardless of where No. 99 is lined up.
