There were moments that the Philadelphia Eagles looked to be down for the count on Monday night, but Carson Wentz wasn't going to allow them to give up. Before the Eagles made their improbable comeback, Wentz rallied the offense together when they were down 17-3 to the New York Giants.

“Just keep believing. Keep believing and it’s time to make a decision how this is going to define us tonight,” Wentz said in his postgame press conference. “Obviously, we knew it was not our first half. That was a rough one and that was an ugly one. We just said, ‘Keep believing and keep staying together.’ Defense was going to take care of their piece, which they did. And we were able to do enough offensively to get this win.”

In the first half, Eli Manning was able to put together a vintage performance to give New York a 14-point lead heading into halftime. While boos rang throughout Lincoln Financial Field, Wentz kept a positive mindset as he made his way into the locker room.

Despite being disparaged by injuries, Philadelphia came out in the second half with signs of life. The Eagles received unexpected contributions from Boston Scott and Josh Perkins to aid in the comeback.

After catching a touchdown to extend the game beyond regulation, Zach Ertz found himself wide open in the end zone to give Philadelphia the win in overtime. Even though it came against a two-win team, this comeback could be what was needed to get the Eagles out of the rut they were in.
