Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz had a costly error in the fourth quarter of their Week 12 matchup against the Seattle Seahawks. He mistakenly threw a pass, nay, served up a pick on a platter. The throw landed right in the hands of Seahawks safety Quandre Diggs who didn't have to break a sweat to grab the interception for the Eagles on 4th down, via NFL on Twitter.

The costly error came at a time when the Eagles were trying their best to claw their way back in the game. Their luck eventually ran out and ultimately succumbed to the Seahawks via a 23-17 decision. A score on the endzone during the possession could've changed the outcome of the game for the Eagles.

Wentz then faced criticism and ridicule from fans everywhere due to his pivotal turnover bu Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert eventually backed his quarterback and atoned for the mistake instead:

ā€œI tried to work the leverage [on Wagner],ā€ he said, via the Philadelphia Inquirer. ā€œI was kind of [sliding] inside so he wouldnā€™t be able to break up the play and Iā€™d be able to make it. Carson thought I was going to be going down and away and threw it there. I shouldā€™ve been where he thought I was going to be. Iā€™ll take the blame for that one. It was a crucial point in the game. Mistakes like that canā€™t happen.ā€

The former North Dakota State gunslinger wasn't having his night under center as he struggled with tallies of 215 yards on a dismal 25-of-45 passing clip. He was also haunted by the Seahawks' defensive line all throughout as he was sacked six times in the loss.

Woes continue to pile up for the Eagles as they dropped to a 3-7-1 record to stand still at the third spot in the NFC East division. The team will have to start getting their act together as they face another tough assignment in the Green Bay Packers for Week 13 action.
