The Philadelphia Eagles know that having success in the NFL is tough, and this year it's going to be no different but Chris Long doesn't quite believe what former New York Giants coach Ben McAdoo is selling about his team.

In a recent interview with the New York Post, McAdoo said he believes that his former team the Giants will win the division because the Eagles aren't going to be able to handle the success. The Giants went 3-13 last year but McAdoo thinks they will have no issue taking a step forward.

Long knows that winning is going to be tough, just because of how difficult it is to win in the league, but he doesn't think if they struggle it's going to have anything to do with the success they had last year.

“That’s kind of a speculative statement, isn’t it?” said Long during a call on behalf of the Men's Wearhouse Suit Drive via ESPN.com. “There’s no science as to who’s going to handle success well or not handle success well. Certainly, no one’s given any indication in our organization that we won’t handle success well. I think it’s a challenge for any team coming off a really great season like we had. That’s why you don’t see a lot of teams repeat. You don’t see a lot of teams back deep in the playoffs. Continuity is one of the hardest things to come by in the NFL.

The Eagles are the heavy favorites to come out of the NFC East with a title, and if the Giants want to pass them in the division, it's going to take a special season. That is, unless McAdoo's prediction comes true and the Eagles are unable to replicate last year's success. But Long certainly isn't ready to buy into that being a foregone conclusion.
