Philadelphia Eagles running back Corey Clement got his first taste of 7 – on – 7 work on Thursday for the first time since a knee injury placed him on injured reserve on December. Some players get a little worried coming back from injury, especially with a knee but it's not even something that Clement is worried about.

“I’m only worried about right now,” Clement said via the Philadelphia Eagles team website. “Right now, I’m feeling 100 percent. I’m just waiting for them to take the leash off me so I can get back in the groove and worry about football.”

Clement feels good with where he is, but he knows he needs to get his legs under him a little more, and that will come with time. The next step for Clement is to get into full-team drills and he hopes that will be coming soon.

“Team reps is really my next big step,” Clement said. “Today was 7-on-7s and just getting more comfortable with everything. Getting my legs back, catching, and bursting downfield. Football shape is definitely different than rehab shape.”

The running back room is loaded but where Clement really shined last year was on special teams racking up 333 kickoff return yards.

“I have nothing really to complain about right now because I am happy. I’m back on my feet. I’m happy where I’m at in this position. Ready to get going.”

The hope is that Clement will be ready for week one and getting into 7 – on -7 drills was a big first step at making that happen.
