There are a lot of key players in the NFC East but Hall of Famer Cris Carter has it narrowed down to one guy who will decide the division, Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz. Appearing on FS1's First Things First, First Carter said that it's Wentz's time to prove that he can stay healthy and that he alone can lead this team to the division crown.

“Carson Wentz, it's his time man it's his time. They traded Nick Foles and he can't afford to be injured after getting injured the last two seasons. His overall leadership, people on the team question and he said he is going to make some adjustments and they have added some things. Got him another running back Jordan Howard who I believe is underrated. He can run the ball because they have a big physical offensive line. DeSean Jackson coming back to Philly as one of the best deep threats we have ever seen in the NFL.”

With all the improvements the team has made Carter knows it all falls on Wentz's shoulder to get the team back to where they were before.

The stage is set for Carson Wentz to return to his MVP type season that he had a few seasons ago, which seems like a lifetime ago.

If Wentz is healthy, he should be able to get back to that form, but the health is a big question for him. Each of the last two years they have had to fall back on Foles when Wentz went down with injuries.

If Wentz gets hurt again, there is no doubt going to be a lot of questions if Wentz can be the long term option going forward for the Eagles.
