Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Darius Slay sent out an open invitation to all young athletes to train with him in Detroit. The veteran corner was dead serious about this invitation and so were the young guns who showed up.

Via Twitter, Slay told those interested to train with him to just slip into his DMs.

John Clark of NBCS culled photos of several young athletes actually training with the three-time Pro Bowler.

In addition, below is a video of their workout. The young guns were very fortunate to receive some top-tier training from an NFL star. Several known prospects like Colorado State cornerback Xavier Goldsmith and Marquise Stokes were in attendance.

Slay acknowledged his influence and voice as a top NFL player. With the coronavirus pandemic paralyzing cities all over the world, he says it's what he can do to help out kids with NFL dreams.

Those who attended the training session appreciated Slay's kind gesture.

While this is the first time the Pro Bowl has organized an open workout, the 29-year-old has been putting in the work with fellow NFL players despite the hiatus brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic. Amid strict social-distancing rules, Slay has found a way to work out with defensive end Brandon Graham and defensive tackle Fletcher Cox.

Cox is actually the one who convinced Slay that the Eagles is the right fit for him. To recall, the Eagles traded for Slay in March in exchange for a third-round and fifth-round selection in the 2020 NFL Draft. Slay subsequently inked a new three-year deal worth $50 million, including $30 million guaranteed.
