Veteran NFL wide receiver DeSean Jackson is currently in the midst of his second stint as a member of the Philadelphia Eagles. While Jackson originally broke into the league behind a lengthy stint with the Eagles, he has since suited up for both the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Washington Redskins, who Philadelphia hosted on Sunday afternoon to kick off the 2019 regular season.

With Jackson and company coming from behind en route to upending the rival Redskins, the seasoned pass catcher has a huge game in what was ultimately quite the memorable homecoming in Philadelphia. As a result of his success in Week 1 against his former team, Jackson was quick to express his feelings regarding his first game back in an Eagles uniform in quite some time.

“Past 48 hours have been racing for me,” Jackson told reporters on Sunday afternoon, via Zach Berman of The Athletic. “Trying to keep calm. Jitters, anxiety. It's been a roller coaster past 48 hours. Just happy it's over, first game coming back to Philly, all the emotions I had coming into the game. Couldn't predict it to be any other way.”

The now 32-year old Jackson was selected by the Eagles in the second round of the 2008 NFL Draft out of Cal while going on to spend the first six seasons of his professional career in Philadelphia. After three seasons in Washington and another two in Tampa Bay, Jackson notably led the way on Sunday against the Redskins by posting eight receptions for a whopping 154 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
