There was plenty of speculation regarding the future of Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver DeSean Jackson. It seems he will end up in a familiar place with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Jackson made it clear that he was unhappy with his role in Tampa Bay and wanted out. According to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo, he will get his wish after being traded to the Eagles:

Jackson's status this offseason was obviously a priority for Tampa Bay. The veteran was notably frustrated with his lack of involvement in the offense last season.

It is easy to see why after finishing the 2018 campaign with 41 receptions for 774 yards and four touchdowns in 12 games. This type of production is hardly fitting for a No. 2 wideout on a team with such a pass-heavy offense like the Bucs.

Despite the down year, new head coach Bruce Arians was not shy about expressing his interest in getting Jackson to stay. He criticized last year's coaching staff for their constant changes under center and implied that this had a drastic impact on the rest of the offense. There is no question that Jackson was undoubtedly one of the casualties.

Jackson now finds himself back where his career started in Philadelphia. He enjoyed plenty of success with the Eagles before his unceremonious departure in 2014.

The veteran will be looking to replicate that success with a team that has undergone some substantial changes since the last time he was there.

He should feel right at home as the No. 2 option across from wide receiver Alshon Jeffery.
