The Philadelphia Eagles haven interesting match coming up against the Detroit Lions. However, their offense will be crippled as DeSean Jackson is listed out due to his abdominal injury.

Doug Pederson confirmed, per Jeff McLane, that the seasoned wideout will be missing Week 3 as he still hasn't fully recovered from the abdominal strain he sustained in Week 2.

Jackson sustained the injury when the Eagles played the Falcons last Sunday. He would have had it treated with surgery, but the 32-year-old chose to wait it out in order to return to the field as soon as possible.

It's a tough blow for Jackson, who erupted for eight catches for 154 yards and two touchdowns in Week 1 against the Washington Redskins.

The injury bug hit the Eagles at the wrong time as they lost two important playmakers to injury. Alshon Jeffery had to miss the team's practice this week alongside Jackson.

Jeffery is struggling with a calf injury. It's unknown whether he will be able to suit up on time against the Lions, but head coach Doug Pederson remains hopeful he can go.

If both Jackson and Jeffery miss out, the Eagles will have to turn to the likes of Nelson Agholor, JJ Arcega-Whiteside, and Mack Hollins as Carson Wentz's main receiving options against the Lions.

It's going to be interesting if they will be able to win against the Lions with confidence without Jackson. They will have to find a way to win without him if they want a shot at the playoffs.
