Although the Philadelphia Eagles managed to finish the 2017 NFL season by clinching the top seed in the NFC, there is still plenty of speculation regarding the team's chances in the playoffs. Needless to say, the majority of the Eagles' current concerns begin and end with quarterback Nick Foles.

Following the hot start to his season debut, there has been a huge dip in Foles' performance. Although head coach Doug Pederson has expressed confidence in his backup, he acknowledged that some changes to the scheme will be made during the team's press conference:

“I’ve gone back and watched a lot of his tape here, [from] St. Louis and when he was here before when I was here,” Pederson said. “I just wanted to go back and just see the types of plays. [T]he quick throw was there, a little play-action pass, the shotgun stuff. . . . Those are all things that are in our system. We might just have to dust a few more off and get that ready to go. But that’s kind of what this week is for: To get some of those ideas and thoughts down on paper and execute them this week in practice.”

The team had initially planned to run the same offense with Foles after the season-ending injury to starting quarterback Carson Wentz. However, it has become apparent that a few adjustments will need to be made.

Following a monstrous four-touchdown performance versus the New York Giants, Foles has thrown for just 202 yards, a touchdown, and two interceptions. Fortunately, the Eagles will have every advantage at their disposal come game time after clinching a first-round bye and home-field advantage.
