A lot has changed since DeSean Jackson last wore an Eagles uniform. He wants to make sure he and his new offense are on the same page.

Jackson has been around the team all offseason, working to develop a chemistry with quarterback Carson Wentz. The fact hasn't been lost on his new coach, either.

“That's probably one of the things that I was excited about with him, that he's here and working with the guys and working with Carson,” said Eagles head coach Doug Pederson. “I'm just looking forward to getting him out there and moving around and [seeing] how much he's picked up of the offense through phase one and two and seeing how best we can use him.”

Jackson immediately becomes the best deep threat Wentz has played with in his young career. In fact, Jackson has been arguably the best deep ball receiver since he entered the league in 2008, leading the NFL in yards per catch four times and having a career yards per catch average of 17.4.

Since Jackson's first stint with the Eagles, he has 233 catches for 4,144 yards (17.8 yards per catch) and 21 touchdowns.

Wentz was just 1-for-15 for 39 yards on passes that traveled 20 yards or more to his outside right in 2019, finishing with a 39.6 passer rating. Quarterbacks that threw to the outside right toward Jackson in 2018 on 20-plus yard passes were 3-of-10 for 113 yards with a touchdown, an interception and a 67.9 passer rating.

Having Jackson lined up there will be a huge get for Wentz, and the offense as a whole.
