The Philadelphia Eagles will be put to the test on Sunday against the defending champion New England Patriots in Super Bowl LII. Tom Brady and company will try to continue adding to the legacy while Doug Pederson wants his squad to pull off the upset in Minnesota against arguably the best quarterback-coach duo in NFL history.

Before Super Bowl LII got underway on Sunday, Pederson had one last message for his team, via ESPN's Tim McManus.

“I'm gonna remind them basically how we got here,” Pederson said. “I think it’s important to understand the journey on how we got here — just kinda reflect on that just a little bit. Secondly, I want these guys to have fun; I want them to enjoy the moment. And then thirdly, go seize the moment. This is our opportunity. It's a great chance — you're in the final game of the football year, and what a way to make a statement by finishing this game and finishing the season.”

As expected, the Eagles are underdogs in this matchup of NFL heavyweights. Philadelphia has been labeled the underdog ever since MVP candidate Carson Wentz went down with a season-ending knee injury against the Los Angeles Rams in the regular season.

With Wentz stuck on the sideline nursing his surgically repaired knee, veteran quarterback Nick Foles will attempt to defy odds against the mighty Patriots who have won five Super Bowl titles with Bill Belichick at the helm and Brady under center.

So far, the Eagles have stepped up to the challenge with Foles leading the charge. Super Bowl LII will be a defining moment for what could be one of the great teams for the foreseeable future.
