Following their first Super Bowl win, the Philadelphia Eagles find themselves in an intriguing situation under center regarding the future of quarterback Nick Foles.

It has put the team in a position of deciding whether to hold on to Super Bowl 52 MVP or move him for assets during the offseason while his stock is at an all-time high. Hall of Fame front office executive Bill Polian weighed in on the matter on Monday morning stating that he would only listen to offers in one scenario.

The hesitance to move on from Foles for anything less than a monster package deal speaks to the uncertainty about Carson Wentz's future as he heals from a torn ACL and LCL. Foles provides much-needed stability at the position if anything were to go awry in any manner with the situation involving the recovery process for Wentz.

He is dealing with an injury that typically takes between nine months to a year to fully heal. Wentz has stated he is hoping to be ready for the season opener for the 2018 campaign, but there is no guarantee that he will be ready in time for that target date. Meanwhile, Foles has shown he can not only pick up the slack if called upon but also lead the team to a Super Bowl win.

However, things could pick on this front in the offseason once there is a clearer sense of the market for quarterbacks after the free agency period begins with the likes of Kirk Cousins and AJ McCarron being the primary targets around the league. There will inevitably be several teams that won't be able to land any of those players between the likes of the Denver Broncos, New York Jets, Cleveland Browns, Buffalo Bills, and Arizona Cardinals. This should give them a true feel for what kind of offers that could field for Foles in the trade market.

Nonetheless, the Eagles are in a position where they can only benefit from whatever transpires regarding Foles over the next several months.
