Isaac Seumalo gets to stay in Philadelphia for a little while longer. The Eagles have just announced that they have granted him a three-year extension on his contract.

The offensive lineman will stay with the team until at least 2022, and the team took to its official Twitter account to confirm the news.

Isaac Seumalo is nothing if not an example of how hard work and dedication to the game can pay off. He is the third player in the Eagles' lineup to receive a contract extension, behind center Jason Kelce and defensive end Brandon Graham.

Offensive line coach Jeff Stoutland had nothing but good things to say about Seumalo, who had only the 2019 season left on his rookie contract.

“You’re talking about a guy who is athletic, smart and versatile. You saw it when he went out and played some at right tackle (as a rookie in 2016 against Baltimore) and played good football. He’s a young player who is coming on for us. He’s learning every day. It’s a difficult position to master and I’m pleased with the progress that Isaac is making. I like the way he’s playing football for us. Isaac is a warrior. Isaac works as hard as anybody, not only on the field but in the classroom.”

Isaac Seumalo is a big guy. Standing 6-foot-4, Seumalo also weighs over 300 pounds. He added more than 20 pounds to his already-massive frame. Seumalo said he put on the weight before he became a professional football player, but said that he lost the weight when playing.
