Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts is happy with the work he has put in this offseason, and if his recent comments are any indication, he has also grown more confident.

Speaking to reporters recently, Hurts was asked about looking “thinner.” While he did not say say how much weight he dropped, the Eagles star assured everyone one thing: he's still “cockstrong.”

“I guess, I’ll let you tell it,” Hurts said on his current shape. “I’m still cockstrong, though.”

For those not familiar with the terminology, Heavy.com noted that there is nothing sexual to it. Simply put, cockstrong means someone “self-assured” and confident–but not cocky.

Jalen Hurts has every reason to be happy with his current state, though. As he further noted, he had a great workout in California that has yielded some great results for him.

“This offseason I did something I’ve never done before, you know what I’m saying,” Hurts added. “I went to Cali and I worked out out there. I got some good work out there. And I talked about how I was still in the front part of my career so I’m still trying to figure out what my offseason looks like.

“Where do I want to train? What does that look like? Where am I going to be? I think that that’s something over time that I’ll find on my own and as the years go on, I’ll simply kind of figure that out myself.”

It is certainly great to see Hurts feeling as confident as ever. The Eagles had a fairly average season, finishing the 2021 campaign with a 9-8 record and making the postseason due to the relatively weak NFC East.

With that said, they could really use some of Hurts' confidence and swag as they try to play better in 2022 and go beyond the Wild Card round.
