The Philadelphia Eagles will still have Carson Wentz starting under center in their Week 12 matchup against the Seattle Seahawks. However, in response to their continuous struggles, Eagles head coach Doug Pederson has decided to give rookie gunslinger Jalen Hurts more opportunities.

The news of the increased workload is via NFL Network‘s Ian Rapoport.

In their most recent tilt against the Cleveland Browns, Jalen Hurts played alongside Wentz on the field and generated 12 carries for 56 yards, and 2-of-2 passes completed for 27 yards.

It's been difficult for the young Eagles talent to get in a groove, as he's limited in action, but being the sole quarterback on the field could eventually increase his productivity.

The Eagles continued their losing skid when they lost to the Browns to drop back to a 3-6-1 record for the second spot in the NFC East division. They will be facing a tough task of stealing a win against the streaking Seahawks as they aim for their fourth win of the season.

Despite the bigger role expected to be handed to Hurts in their coming games, Pederson remained adamant that the team will still be sticking with Wentz as their starting playmaker under center.

The Eagles will see the contribution that they will get with Jalen Hurts logging heavier minutes and him coming out with an impressive performance could possibly change the minds of the team's decision-makers moving forward.
