The Philadelphia Eagles suffered a setback after wide receiver Jalen Reagor went down with a shoulder injury in practice nearly two weeks ago. Fortunately, it appears he is now in line to take part in the 2020 NFL season opener against the Washington Football Team.

Reagor is reportedly trending in the right direction after being upgraded to a full participant in practice leading up to Week 1, per NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport:

There had been plenty of speculation regarding how much time Reagor was slated to miss after being diagnosed with a “small” labrum tear in his shoulder. His recent progress indicates that he is full prepared to make his NFL debut in Week 1.

The Eagles have high hopes that Reagor can provide a much-needed boost to their offense after taking him with the No. 21 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft out of TCU. He is slated to headline a receiving corps that consists of JJ Arcega-Whiteside, DeSean Jackson, and Greg Ward. Meanwhile, tight ends Zack Ertz and Dallas Goedert are also slated to serve as a stabilizing factor for quarterback Carson Wentz in the passing game.

There was already some concern regarding the soft tissue injury that led to Wentz sitting out of practice all last week; however, he has since made his return for the preparation against Washington. The fact that Philadelphia also managed to dodge a bullet with Reagor's preventable injury means their fortunes could be turning around following an injury-plagued 2019 campaign.

There is now good reason to be optimistic that the Eagles will be at full strength with a healthy Wentz and Reagor in the mix for the season opener.
