The Philadelphia Eagles season ended in a disappointing 17-9 Wild Card loss to the Seattle Seahawks. With the loss, the Eagles end the season with a 9-8 record and will look to capture another NFC East title in 2020.

One of the looming questions this offseason is the free agency of running back Jordan Howard. Howard was traded from the Chicago Bears to the Eagles last March for a conditional sixth-round pick in 2020.

Injuries were the theme of the Eagles' 2019 season and Howard added to the team's long list of injuries after suffering a shoulder injury in a week nine game against his former team. Despite missing the last seven games of the season, Howard is confident that he wants to return to Philadelphia.

Prior to the injury, Howard led the Eagles in rushing yards with 525 and also added six rushing touchdowns. His injury opened up opportunities for rookie Miles Sanders and second-year back Boston Scott to shoulder the rushing load.

In the Eagles' Wild Card loss, Sanders, a 2019 second-round. pick out of Penn State, led the team with 69 rushing yards on 14 carries.

The Eagles faired pretty well as a team in terms of rushing offense. Philadelphia ranked 11th in the NFL in rushing yards per game with 121.2 and Howard was a big part of that success early on.

The 6-foot, 224-pound back out of Indiana has rushed for over 900 yards in three of his four seasons in the NFL. And at only 25, Howard still has the potential and talent to be one of the better rushers in the league.
