The Philadelphia Eagles are set to face the New England Patriots for the second game of preseason action, which will mark the first time that both teams will meet since Super Bowl 52.

This has set the table for what could be a raucous environment with the Patriots fans being quite vocal about their feelings toward the Eagles. It is something that Pro Bowl offensive lineman Lane Johnson is more than welcoming to hear and see at Gillette Stadium come Thursday night, according to Ryan Hannable of WEEI.

“Oh yeah. I hope so. I hope they raise hell,” Johnson said. “They can cuss me, they can say whatever they want. At the end of the day, I'm not blocking them, I'm blocking guys on the edge, so it really doesn't matter what they say. I know that I'm not going to be well-liked, this team is not going to be well-liked going there, so it's going to basically bring out our best.”

It may just be a preseason game, but there is plenty of bulletin board material that Johnson has provided as he has continued to trash talk the Patriots in the months that have followed Super Bowl 52. He has been quite vocal about his feelings toward New England that have only made this game more meaningful for him despite it being prior to the regular season.

This should be an intense environment with a lot of boos directed at the Eagles with much of that coming toward Johnson, who had voiced that he felt that the Patriots had disrespected his team. Despite that, Philadelphia was able to come out on top by winning the first Super Bowl in team history.

Ultimately, it is as hyped and anticipated as a Week 2 preseason game will get that features a Super Bowl rematch.
