Malcolm Jenkins' holdout is over. The Philadelphia Eagles safety “has reported for his team physical and will be in attendance for the team’s mandatory minicamp that begins Tuesday,” a source told Adam Schefter of ESPN.com.

It appears that Jenkins isn't planning on making his issues with the team a big deal, as Schefter writes that “Jenkins is said to be excited to be with his teammates and focused on the 2019 season as an Eagle.”

All offseason, we've heard that Jenkins was unhappy with his contract and looking for a new deal. A few years ago, Jenkins signed an extension worth $35 million over four years that runs through the 2020 season.

While he's making a decent amount of money right now, he clearly sees what the top safeties got on the open market this offseason and wants to be compensated like them. Many of the top guys like Landon Collins and Earl Thomas got salaries worth well over $10 million annually.

The Eagles just dished out an absurd amount of money to Carson Wentz, so it makes sense why they're hesitant to give a player with two more years left on his deal more money. That being said Jenkins has often been the heart and soul of the defense, and it won't be shocking if they decide to throw him a bone and give him a raise.

It's also possible they could throw in some incentives like the Falcons did with Julio Jones last offseason to sweeten his deal. Jenkins has made the Pro Bowl each of the past two seasons and has started every single game without missing a start since joining the Eagles in 2014.
