Philadelphia Eagles defensive end Michael Bennett will get his first up close and personal look at New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley when the two teams meet on Thursday night.

Bennett has been impressed with what he’s seen from the Giants rookie thus far and is reminded of three former All-Pro running backs with his game.

“I haven't seen a running back like that in a long time,” Bennett said Tuesday, via NJ.com. “I think he reminds me of a couple running backs. He has, like, shiftiness and quick feet like Marshawn Lynch and balance like LeSean McCoy. But then he also has speed like Jamaal Charles. He's really a great combination as a running back.”

Bennett isn’t the first player to heap that sort of praise on Barkley since he came into the league. Barkley had a lot of hype surrounding him as the No. 2 pick in the draft. He was considered by some as a generational talent at running back who was the best player in his class.

He’s managed to live up to those very high expectations thus far. Barkley currently has 582 yards from scrimmage through five games, which is good for seventh in the league. And while he has yet to get going consistently on the ground, he’s been just as advertised as a pass-catcher.

Much like the other five teams before them, Michael Bennett and the Eagles defense will have their hands full completely containing Barkley because of all the All-Pro-caliber attributes he already possesses.
