The Philadelphia Eagles are set to enter their regular season finale against the Washington Redskins with their playoff chances on the line.

The Eagles will have to venture into the contest without the services of veteran wide receiver Mike Wallace as he has been declared out despite being activated from the injured reserve earlier this week, according to Josh Alper of Pro Football Talk.

The Eagles activated wide receiver Mike Wallace from injured reserve this week, but he won’t be in the lineup for the regular season finale.

Wallace has missed almost the entire 2018 season due to a broken leg that he suffered back in Week 2 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He has yet to record a single catch on three targets in his limited action this year. Wallace may be out of the lineup for this week's action, but should the Eagles reach the playoffs he will be eligible to play.

The Eagles will have to further rely on the rest of their wide receives in Alshon Jeffery, Golden Tate, Jordan Matthews, and Nelson Agholor to lead the charge at the position. Pro Bowl tight end Zach Ertz should also factor greatly into the equation against Washington.

The Eagles are in a tough spot heading into the season finale as they will need the Minnesota Vikings to lose against the Chicago Bears coupled with a win over the Redskins to earn a playoff berth. Their fate lies out of their control, but Sunday's game is an opportunity to put themselves in position to get into the postseason.
