Philadelphia Eagles rookie running back Miles Sanders is expected to play in the teams Wild Card game against the Seattle Seahawks.
Eagles do-it-all back Miles Sanders (ankle) is hopeful to practice Friday, and a source says his plan is to play vs. SEA barring a setback. It's a low-ankle injury, so the issue has been inflammation. He is improving. 'He wants to play,' the source said.

Sanders left with an ankle injury in Week 17 against the New York Giants and did not return. Running back Boston Scott led the way for the team with 19 carries for 54 yards and three touchdowns.
Philadelphia is dealing with a plethora of injuries, including Sanders, wide receiver Nelson Agholor (knee), defensive end Derek Barnett (ankle), defensive tackle Fletcher Cox (triceps), tight end Zach Ertz (ribs), right tackle Lane Johnson (ankle), cornerback Sidney Jones (back), cornerback Avontee Maddox (abdomen), and cornerback Jalen Mills (ankle).
Despite the injuries, Philadelphia beat the Dallas Cowboys in Week 16 to take the lead in the NFC East and punched its ticket for a home playoff game. It is the third straight season the Eagles have made the playoffs.
In 16 games, Sanders rushed for 818 yards and three rushing touchdowns, along with 209 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Sanders is a second round pick from Penn State.
Philadelphia will also have Jordan Howard and Scott to back up Sanders in case he faces a setback or are needed to come in to alleviate Sanders throughout the game. Howard rushed for 525 yards and six touchdowns this season in 10 games.
The Eagles will have a tall task at home against the Seahawks, but can benefit from the team giving up 117.7 rushing yards per game. Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson is 4-0 all time against the Eagles, including a 17-9 road win earlier this season.
