Miles Sanders was just getting into a groove in the Philadelphia Eagles offense on Sunday but an injury may prevent him from finishing the game. The rookie running back is questionable to return versus the Buffalo Bills after a shoulder injury.

Sanders was forced to go to the locker room after landing awkwardly on his shoulder in the third quarter. The Penn State product had rushed for 74 yards on three carries and a touchdown prior to exiting the game. He also caught three passes for 44 yards from Carson Wentz.

With Sanders getting looked at, Jordan Howard and Boston Scott will share the backfield duties for the Eagles. Of course, Howard will get the majority of the touches with Scott being inexperienced in the offense.

This season, Sanders has been inconsistent in Philadelphia's offense with a reserve role behind Howard. The team's second-round pick has rushed for 220 yards on 63 attempts on the ground; while also hauling in 16 receptions for 230 yards as a receiver.

As a matter of fact, Sanders' 65-yard scamper for a touchdown on Sunday is his first rushing touchdown of the season. Sadly, the longer he spends in the locker room, the more likely it is that his day is over.

Regardless of the severity of the injury, it's wise for Doug Pederson to be cautious with his rookie running back. At this moment, all that is known is that Sanders is dealing with a shoulder issue.

We will continue to update his status as information continues to be released.
