The Philadelphia Eagles have made some notable changes in their receiving corps as of late. Regardless, wide receiver Nelson Agholor expects to maintain his integral role on offense.

Agholor saw his target share fluctuate throughout last season. According to Zach Berman of the philly.com, he feels his versatility will keep him on the field no matter the personnel group:

“I like playing the slot because it gives me an advantage, use my speed versus some guys and use my size versus some guys, and I’ve learned a lot playing in there,” Agholor said. “But I’ve played a lot of outside receiver in my life. I know how to win on the outside, too, on ‘go’ balls, ‘post’ balls, things like that. And at the end of the day, I do whatever I need to do to help this team win. And I think my versatility puts us in a good position.”

There had been plenty of speculation regarding Agholor's future in Philadelphia. He is entering the final year of his current deal that is slated to pay him $9 million in the 2019 NFL season. As a result, he became the subject of some trade talks in the offseason. Despite all the noise, it is clear that he is focused on his role moving forward.

Agholor's position was a bit fluid throughout the 2018 campaign as the front office did what it could to shore up some depth for the playoffs. The arrival of wide receiver Golden Tate cut into his production, and he ultimately finished the 2018 campaign with 64 catches for 736 yards and four touchdowns. While Tate may be gone, the Eagles welcome back a familiar face in wide receiver DeSean Jackson. It will be interesting to see which wideout can establish themselves as the complementary option to wide receiver Alshon Jeffery.
