Quarterback Nick Foles is riding an all-time high of emotions in his NFL career after leading the Philadelphia Eagles to their first Super Bowl in franchise history, topping Tom Brady and the New England Patriots, 41-33.

However, there is the imminent question that will become a prominent topic of conversation over the next few weeks involving his long-term future with the Eagles. According to Mike Jones of USA TODAY Sports, Foles stated that he isn't concerned about what may lie ahead this upcoming offseason, at least for the time being.

Foles is coming off the biggest performance of his career, earning the Super Bowl MVP after completing 28-of-43 passes for 373 yards and three touchdowns. He also held a 106.1 passer rating and recorded a receiving touchdown in the process of becoming the first player in NFL history to throw and catch a touchdown in the Super Bowl. He was able to do all of that while outdueling Tom Brady, who set a Super Bowl record with 505 passing yards and three touchdown passes in the contest.

All of this has put him in an intriguing position, as he is set to enter second year of his two-year, $11 million deal that will pay him $7.6 million in base salary and bonuses in 2018. It is still quite early to assess the situation, but Foles could find himself the position to garner a new, lucrative deal, possibly with another team.

The 29-year-old has a clear desire to remain in Philadelphia with the understanding that Carson Wentz will resume the starting spot once he returns from torn both a torn ACL and LCL. In fact, that was the plan all along before this impressive playoff run.

The outcome of this situation may rest in Foles' hands, as he must determine what he wants for the next chapter of his NFL career.
