The Philadelphia Eagles are coming off their first Super Bowl win in franchise history that saw backup quarterback Nick Foles lead the way. His impressive run through the playoffs has pushed him into the spotlight this offseason after the best stretch of games in his career.

The increased attention has presented Foles with an opportunity to capitalize on the increased media attention, and he has done so by writing a book about the Super Bown run entitled “Believe It: My Journey of Success, Failure and Overcoming the Odds” that is set to be released June 26 via Tyndale.

Nick Foles, Eagles

Foles previously contemplated retirement after the 2015 season with the then-St. Louis Rams, but he has since turned around his career to become one of the best backup QBs in the NFL. He returned to the Eagles last offseason and was put in position to start after Carson Wentz went down with season-ending ACL and LCL tears.

Foles had his ups and down along the way but turned his game up once the playoffs came around, throwing for 971 yards on a 72.6 percent completion rate with six touchdown passes and an interception while holding a 115.7 passer rating. He also recorded more than 240 passing yards and held a passer rating above 100 in each contest. All of this was culminated by his impressive performance in the Super Bowl, where he completed 28-of-43 passes for 373 yards and three touchdowns.

Foles held a 106.1 passer rating and recorded a receiving touchdown in the process of becoming the first player in NFL history to throw and catch a touchdown in the Super Bowl. His unexpected journey to becoming a Super Bowl champion has allowed him to take a significant step forward in his career to show that he can lead a franchise to great success.  The chance to write a book about it is simply the cherry on top of what was a magical season.
