Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Nick Foles just can’t stop winning these days. Apart from being a Super Bowl champion and MVP, he’s also become a best-selling author with his autobiography, “Believe it,” debuting at No. 5 on the New York Times hardcover, non-fiction list.

And now, Foles can add another accolade to his ever-growing collection: the Best Championship Performance Award at the 2018 ESPYs.

Foles beat out the likes of Kevin Durant of the Golden State Warriors, George Springer of the Houston Astros, and Donte DiVincenzo of Villanova, who were the other three nominees for the award.

Foles credited his teammates and coaches for his success during his acceptance speech (per NBC Philadelphia):

“It's been a crazy career. If any of y'all know my career path, it doesn't make sense. But you know, I'm here right now. My teammates, coaches, you know what, we faced so much adversity this year, we have an amazing team. It's so much fun to go to work in that locker room every single day. I couldn't have done it without y'all. We see what happened. We won the first Super Bowl in Philadelphia history, so we've got a special group of guys.”

Foles delivered a brilliant performance in the Super Bowl to outduel the great Tom Brady. He went 28-of-43 for 373 yards and three touchdowns in the game. He also added a touchdown catch courtesy of the iconic “Philly Special.”

It really shouldn’t have been much of a shock that Foles won. He was a remarkable story, going from backup QB to leading the Eagles to their first Super Bowl in frachise history and turning in an MVP-worthy performance to boot.

Of course, not everything in Foles’ life is completely perfect. As he confesses in his book, it was hard for him to watch other quarterbacks getting paid ahead of him. He’s also set to go back to being Carson Wentz’s backup once he returns from his knee injury.

But no one can take these past few months — and the awards and accolades — away from Foles. He’ll be able to hang onto those for the rest of his days.
