It's been a slow and painful process, but Jalen Hurts is slowly piecing it all together. The young Philadelphia Eagles quarterback has been under scrutiny this season for his sub-par play. Recently though, his play has been improving significantly, as he's been better than his previous form at the start of the season.

No one has had a better view of this improvement than Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni. Speaking to the media after their big 30 – 13 win over the Denver Broncos, Sirianni harped on Jalen Hurts' growth as the season progressed.

“He just gets better everyday. He just exemplifies the ‘getting 1% better everyday' [mentality]… and he just continues to get better. He just did some really good things in that game.”

Sirianni then goes on to point out some of the things Hurts did well against the Broncos. There was a lot of those great moments for the Eagles quarterback, as he completed 16 of his 23 passes for 178 yards, along with two touchdowns and a single interception. He also rushed 14 times for 53 yards, showcasing his dual-threat abilities that enticed the franchise to draft him.

The highlight of the Eagles' domination of the Broncos didn't come from the offensive team, however. It was an outstanding play by cornerback Darius Slay that sealed the win for Philly, as he got an 82-yard pick-6 on Broncos quarterback Teddy Bridgewater to put the game away in the dying seconds of the third quarter.

Going back to Hurts, it was clear that there was going to be an adjustment period for the Alabama product. This is the first season the Eagles have promoted him to the full-time QB1 role, and there was bound to be growing pains. If Hurts can keep up this performance, though, we might see the Eagles soaring back into title contention soon.
