The Philadelphia Eagles made a move by releasing cornerback Orlando Scandrick heading into their Week 8 matchup with the Buffalo Bills. It has not taken very long for him to take a shot at his former team.

Scandrick criticized general manager Howie Roseman for being untrustworthy, via Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports:

“I don’t believe anything Howie Roseman says. Howie is one of the people if he told me it was raining outside, I’d probably get some shorts just in case.”

It is safe to say that Scandrick did not depart from Philadelphia on the best of terms. He signed with the team this offseason and was initially released during final roster cuts before being brought back heading into Week 5 of the 2019 NFL season. Perhaps it was the second short stint with the Eagles that ultimately spurred him not to hold anything back during his recent television appearance.

Roseman was not the only one that Scandrick had criticized. He also called out safety Malcolm Jenkins for his role in the supposed turmoil in the locker room before indicating that some much bigger changes needed to be made.

Although Scandrick certainly has his reasons for being disgruntled, there is no denying that the secondary has been a glaring issue for the Eagles this season. They were among the notable teams interested in acquiring former Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback Jalen Ramsey before they were outbid by the Los Angeles Rams. There are now rumors about a potential deal regarding Arizona Cardinals cornerback Patrick Peterson ahead of the trade deadline on Oct. 29.

If there was ever a time for Roseman to dispel Scandrick's comments, this would certainly be it.
