The Philadelphia Eagles managed to win a nail-biter over the Atlanta Falcons in the NFC Divisional Round. However, their win was clearly overshadowed by the ‘Minneapolis Miracle' between the Minnesota Vikings and New Orleans Saints.

Needless to say, the Eagles are now taking every precaution they can with their players ahead of the NFC Conference Championship. According to ESPN's Tim McManus, went over the miraculous play time and time again in the film room:

“We watched it in the defensive meeting room, then we go back in our [defensive backs] room and watched it again,” said Eagles safety Corey Graham. “We’ve seen it. [DBs] Coach [Cory] Undlin showed us. Everybody’s seen it.”

Eagles safety Rodney McLeod understand why it had been a point emphasis. He discussed how much it helps to go over these kinds of situations should they ever arise in a real game.

“A lot of games come down to these two-minute situations. Last week, one of the keys to the game for [coach] Doug [Pederson] was just knowing and understanding situational ball, and that’s going to be a teaching moment for us as we go into this week’s game,” McLeod said. “It just shows you, little things matter. I’m sure that guy made that tackle 100 times, and it all comes down to that one play. When you don’t execute, that’s what happens in the playoffs, man. … Just like that, your season can be taken away from you in the playoffs.”

Safe to say, Philadelphia is well-aware that they just as easily could have been playing the New Orleans Saints had it not been for that one play. That's why it is so important to prepare and be locked in mentally throughout the game.

Their showdown with the Viking may ultimately come down to which team makes fewer mistakes. As a result, the Eagles are hoping to cover every potential situation they can before this Sunday.
