The Philadelphia Eagles have a clear-cut top quarterback on their roster and his name is Jalen Hurts. Unless someone else can be talked into Joe Flacco or Nick Mullens, it's clearly Hurts.

While Deshaun Watson rumors linking a trade involving him to the Eagles have popped up time and again, for now Hurts appears to be the QB1.

Head coach Nick Sirianni isn't ready to call him that though. Via ProFootballTalk, Sirianni wouldn't name Hurts the started on Thursday and deflected a question when he was asked about it.

“There’s just no rush there on having to do that,” Sirianni said during his press conference. “We just want him to continue to impress, and show like he has. We’re just not there yet.”

Unless there is a trade for Watson, who's playing status remains super foggy, there's just no chance anyone outside of Jalen Hurts will start for the Eagles in Week 1. Sirianni can play the game all he wants and he likely envisions this as some sort of motivating factor for Hurts but it's really just annoying at this point.

There isn't a soul in the world that believes Flacco or Mullens will be jogging off the sideline and into the huddle to kick things off for the Eagles this season. This isn't to suggest Hurts is some can't miss, must start guy. The jury is still out on how good of a starting quarterback he may be. Despite that, he's still the top option in Philly by a fairly wide margin.
