The Philadelphia Eagles have some decisions to make this offseason and it appears they've made their decision on Jason Peters. According to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo, Philadelphia is expected to let Peters enter free agency.

Peters, who turned 38 years old in January, wants to continue playing in the NFL. As Ian Rapoport of NFL Network pointed out, despite his age, Peters could command a decent contract in free agency.

Even though he is entering free agency, Peters could still choose to re-sign with the Eagles. Following the report by Garafolo, the Eagles released a statement on Peters and his future with the organization.

Since 2009, Peters has been a mainstay on Philadelphia's offensive line. In his 11 seasons with the Eagles, Peters was named to the Pro Bowl seven times and was an All-Pro twice.

However, injuries have become an issue in the past few seasons. Just in the past three seasons, Peters has missed 12 games due to injury and was sidelined for three games in 2019.

In the event that Peters departs in free agency, the Eagles are confident in Andre Dillard becoming the starter. But it is still unclear what teams are willing to give Peters on the open market.

With free agency looming, there aren't many notable names that are going to be available at left tackle. Besides Peters, the only other notable left tackles set to hit free agency are Andrew Whitworth and Anthony Castonzo. While Peters gauges interest from other teams, he'll keep in contact with the Eagles once free agency kicks off.
