The Philadelphia Eagles defense has had their fair share of struggles but they haven't been nearly as bad as the Chicago Bears' offense was in the first half of Sunday's game. According to Jason Lieser, Philadelphia held Chicago to their worst offensive half in the past 40 years.

The Bears offense was only able to muster up nine total yards of offense and were unable to score any points as the teams went into the locker room at halftime. Whether it is the Eagles defense forcing the issue, or if the Bears offense is just that bad remains to be seen.

Regardless, Philadelphia will hope to continue their overall dominance as the game progresses. Above all, the Eagles' secondary that is notorious for giving up big plays only allowed one passing yard from Mitchell Trubisky.

With Trubisky under center, Chicago has been abysmal in recent weeks; losing three straight games due to the ineptitude of the offense. Nevertheless, the Eagles defense does deserve some credit for containing Matt Nagy's offense in Week 9.

For the second consecutive week, Philadelphia has risen to the occasion and has performed at a high level in a must-win game. Last week, the Eagles were able to hold the 5-1 Buffalo Bills to just 253 yards of offense as they won the game 31-13.

There's no doubt that Doug Pederson would love to see his team repeat their defensive performance from a week ago.

With a win on Sunday, the Eagles could improve to 5-4 and could remain within striking distance of the Dallas Cowboys for first place in the NFC East.
