It's official: DeSean Jackson is heading back to the Philadelphia Eagles. We heard earlier on Monday that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers had agreed to trade the wideout, and now we have the details.

The Eagles are sending a 2019 sixth-round draft pick to Tampa Bay in exchange for Jackson and a 2020 seventh-round pick, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. The Eagles will also restructure Jackson's contract and give him $13 million in guaranteed money.

The trade makes sense for both sides. The Buccaneers managed to shed some salary and create cap space in addition to freeing up more playing time for Chris Godwin, while the Eagles get a much-needed speedster. Jackson started his career with the Eagles, and is returning home after five seasons with the Redskins and Buccaneers.

Jackson is 32, but he has remained one of the league's best deep threats. This past season he averaged the most yards per catch of any receiver in the league, averaging 18.9 yards per reception. In just 12 games last season, he had 774 yards and four touchdowns.

Jackson will be a great asset for Carson Wentz next year, and there hasn't been much of a drop-off in his play. The Bucs have wanted to play Godwin a lot more, and they'll now get to do that with Jackson and Adam Humphries out of the way. Humphries landed in Tennessee with the Titans on Monday.

Jackson had some good moments in Tampa, but had a public falling out with management last year. It was clear his time with the team was coming to an end, and he was almost certainly going to be released if he wasn't traded. The Eagles — by adding that guaranteed money to his contract, which previously contained no remaining guarantees — shows they're all-in on the receiver.
