After Philadelphia Eagles offensive linemen Andre Dillard and Jason Peters both left Sunday's game against the Detroit Lions, it seemed that all of Philadelphia held its breath.

After Peters was forced to leave Sunday's game due to an illness thought to be nausea, Dillard replaced him at left tackle, only to suffer a knee injury after making contact with running back Miles Sanders. While Peters eventually returned to the contest, Dillard did not. People speculated what his status would be heading into Thursday's game against the Green Bay Packers, especially on a short week.

Head Coach Doug Pederson cleared up those questions Monday.

Pederson said Dillard is okay, but we still don't know to what extent he will play against the Packers this Thursday. Green Bay's defense is much improved from last season and its pass rush is no joke. The Eagles' line needs to hold strong in order to protect quarterback Carson Wentz from suffering another devastating injury.

The Eagles selected the 23-year-old Dillard with the 22nd overall pick in this year's draft out of Washington State in order to shore up that offensive line. The Eagles value Wentz more than any other player on their roster, and the departure of Nick Foles gives them even more incentive to keep Wentz upright.

Overall, the Eagles have one of the more solid offensive lines in football, but their depth was special. We will see if that is put into question this Thursday.
