There are still many teams interested in trading for Deshaun Watson, despite his ongoing legal issues. One of those teams is the Philadelphia Eagles, who are seemingly in talks with the Houston Texans to trade for the superstar quarterback. It's unclear exactly what the offer might be, but for now, the Eagles are the favorite to pull off a trade, per Outkick.
Although the news was dropped late Wednesday night, a conflicting report was released on Thursday morning. According to Pro Football Talk, trade talks between the Eagles and Texans are not “heating up” as previously reported. Due to Watson's current legal issues, it's hard to imagine another franchise gives the Texans a ton in return. Watson is still under investigation for over 20 sexual assault cases, so it's unclear what his future looks like.
With conflicting reports on the Eagles and Texans trade talks, it's impossible to decipher exactly what is going to happen. However, if a deal were to come to fruition, the Eagles would likely have to pay a hefty fee to acquire the Texans quarterback. Deshaun Watson is still a top-five quarterback talent-wise, but there are obvious red flags many teams would like to avoid.
Watson has been reporting to training camp in Houston although he still doesn't plan to play another snap for the Texans. He's essentially pulling a “Marshawn Lynch,” as Watson is only reporting to training camp to avoid being fined. Jalen Hurts on the other hand is practicing hard and preparing to be the Eagles starting quarterback.

Hurts seems like a solid prospect many are excited about while Watson is a proven talent with a dark cloud hanging above him.
