The Philadelphia Eagles have been searching for consistency from the running back position and during a crucial matchup Sunday with the Washington Redskins, running back Miles Sanders stepped up and made a significant impact. After a rushing score in the first half, Sanders was the recipient of a third quarter strike from quarterback Carson Wentz that put the Eagles ahead momentarily.

Sanders was able to get his backside to the ground in the corner of the end zone before falling out of bounds, getting Philadelphia on the board rather than bringing up what would have been a difficult third-down situation.

Entering the game, Sanders had accrued three touchdowns all season, two of which had come as a receiver. Following his performance versus the Redskins, it appears that he could be in line for an even larger role in the offense moving forward.
