The Philadelphia Eagles will have to play without one of their best wide receivers as DeSean Jackson is still recovering from an abdominal strain that's been keeping him off the field for the past three weeks.

However, Eagles head coach Doug Pederson is positive about his recovery, claiming that the 32-year-old wideout is on the right path to recovery. However, he admitted that he's still quite a ways to go before he can return to the field.

Pro Football Talk's Josh Alper wrote about the team's take on Jackson's recovery process. He added that they're looking at his progress from rehab:

“With a guy like DeSean, he’s a track guy, he’s a runner, he’s gotta have a level of comfort with that injury, all the stopping and starting,” Pederson said, via NJ.com. “It’s really until he gets to that point when we make a decision.”

The Eagles will definitely miss having him around due to his incredible production on offense. He's notched 10,415 receiving yards in his 12-year career. He also has one of the best yards per catch gains in the NFL, and he led the association last year with 18.9 yards a reception.

However, it isn't like the situation is dire without him on the team. The Eagles are steadily climbing up the NFL Power Rankings, where they are currently sitting pretty in fifth. They have one of the league's best defenses and will pile on the pressure against Kirk Cousins and the Vikings.

It may still take time before Jackson gets to play again, but the Eagles will do just fine without him. All he needs to do is focus on his recovery and bounce back as soon as possible.
