During the unfortunate absence of Tyson Chandler, the Phoenix Suns have relied on the inside presence of Ukrainian center Alex Len to fill the void.

Len is living up to the task so far; the 23-year-old has averaged 11.8 points, 9.8 rebounds, and 2.5 blocks per game with 62% shooting from the field.

The big man’s teammates are taking notice of Len’s impressive contribution. Teammates have called him ‘a monster’ for the way he has been able to protect the rim as of late.

According to Paul Coro of AZ Central Sports, Suns head coach Earl Watson is extremely high on the ability Len has been showcasing as of late.

“A-Len’s amazing,” Watson said. “He’s growing every game. We absolutely love him. Multi-talented. He doesn’t get a lot of touches, but when he does, he’s efficient with it. I think he could, one day in the future, be a guy you could play out of the post with, just watch him work and pass and go to work.”

Len is poised to get some more extended run at the slot as the Suns ease Tyson Chandler back into game shape, and most importantly, to keep the young center's confidence at a high level.
