UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou has been making a big push to try and get into the world of boxing. He recently had a back and forth with Tyson Fury. Eddie Hearn recently spoke about the proposed fight between the two.

Eddie Hearn is famous for being the promoter of giant names like Anthony Joshua, Canelo Alvarez, and Gennady Golovkin. The promoter had some mixed feelings about the fight between the two.

Eddie Hearn was asked about the potential boxing match, between Francis Ngannou and Tyson Fury, by The Mac Life. The Englishman didn't hold back as he talked about the super fight.

“I think it’s nonsense but it’s all good,” Hearn said. “Anything that gets people talking is good. It is quite exciting to think of the prospect of Tyson Fury fighting Francis Ngannou in a ring or in a cage, wherever. But I don’t see it happening any time soon. Anything like that drives fan engagement, which is good, it’s good for Tyson and Francis Ngannou, boxing and the UFC.

“Anything that gets people talking is good news.”

There has been a lot of talks recently between UFC fighters and boxers. Eddie Hearn is right that the fight has a slim chance of happening. It doesn't make sense on many levels.

Eddie Hearn has many fun fights to worry about for his clients. Tyson Fury is working on his next bout. All the while, Francis Ngannou is set to defend his heavyweight title against Ciryl Gane at UFC 270.
